Another picture of the same blanket. I just decided that I'd give it to someone who just had a grandchild. Hope she likes it.

Lap Rug / Baby Blanket

Another baby blanket. Can also be used as a lap rug. This pattern was one by Ann Norling called Infant Set. Made with size 7 needles. I combined different yarns to get this look - sock yarn, DK yarn. The final result looks adorable. At least to me! Of course, I'm prejudiced.

Second Sweater for Jack

Here's the second sweater that was knitted for Jack. Made with Encore DK from Plymourth Yarn, double knitting weight, 75% Acrylic , 25% Wool with needle sizes 3 and 6. A couple of months ago, before Jack was born, my husband and I had been to Appleton, WI and I wanted to go to the yarn store and indulge in some fiber therapy. Well, I walked into Iris Fine Yarns and guess what? Mary Elizabeth was there. We were both so surprised to run into each other like that. And we had a good time while the husbands hooked up in the parking lot outside. Talk about co-incidence!

Sweaters for Jack

My knitting teacher and friend, Mary Elizabeth and her hubby, my 'troublemaker' friend Dean had a baby boy a few weeks ago. So what is more fitting than to knit sweaters for the baby? Well, here is the first of the two sweaters I knitted for little Jack. OK, so it's boring but hey, it's one I'm familiar with. It's the same Dale of Norway pattern but just in stockinette stitch with a little experimentation in colour.
