Mary taught me yesterday to turn the heel and yaaay....now I can complete the socks. :-)

My first attempt at knitting socks is the first project for the new year. My friend Mary gave me a skein of yarn, a set of needles and a sock pattern by Ann Norling to start me off. Here is the work in process in all its glory. Project specs : Poems Sock Yarn, 75% Superwash Wool, 25% Nylon, 459 yards, Colour 959, Needle Size 2.

Project from Old Year

Another baby blanket using the old pattern from Ann Norling. I knit this up very fast. Fast for me anyway. :-) Made with Traditions yarn from Debbie Mumm. Light blue part is Robin's Egg Traditions and the darker is Heather Haze. 75% Acrylic, 23% Wool, 2% Other Fiber. 148.73 Yards, 80 gms per skein.
